Properties
L-arginine is a chemical substance with the molecular formula of C6H14N4O2. After water recrystallization, it loses crystal water at 105 ℃, and its water solubility is strong alkaline, which can absorb carbon dioxide from the air. Soluble in water (15%, 21 ℃), insoluble in ether, slightly soluble in ethanol.
It is a non essential amino acid for adults, but it is produced slowly in the body. It is an essential amino acid for infants and has a certain detoxification effect. It is abundant in protamine and the basic composition of various proteins, so it exists widely.
Application
Arginine is a component of ornithine cycle and has extremely important physiological functions. Eating more arginine can increase the activity of arginase in liver and help to change ammonia in blood into urea and excrete it. Therefore, arginine is beneficial to hyperammonemia, liver dysfunction, etc
L-arginine is also the main component of sperm protein, which can promote sperm quality and improve sperm motility energy
